Privacy Policy
Last updated: 7 July 2026
This policy explains what personal data Limen collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it. Limen is a website-analysis service that scans sites you submit and produces an AI-generated report.
1. Who we are
Limen (translimen.io) is operated by Temu AG, a company incorporated in Switzerland (the “controller”, “we”, “us”). We are responsible for the personal data described in this policy.
For any privacy question or to exercise your rights, contact us at privacy@limen.io.
We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer, as we are not legally required to do so.
2. Scope and applicable law
Our customers may be located in Switzerland, the European Economic Area (EEA), the United States, or anywhere else in the world. We therefore aim to comply with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP), and, where it applies to you, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable data-protection laws.
This policy and any dispute relating to it are governed by the laws of Switzerland, with the courts of the Canton of Zurich having jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have in your country of residence.
3. What data we collect
Account data
When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password. Passwords are handled and stored in hashed form by our authentication provider (Supabase); we never see your plain-text password.
Payment data
When you purchase a paid unlock, payment is processed by Stripe. Stripe collects and processes your card details directly — we do not receive or store your full card number. We receive a record of the transaction (such as your email, amount, and payment status) for accounting and support.
Scan data
When you run a scan, we collect the website address (URL) you submit and store the page text we retrieve from that site so we can generate and cache your report. Scans are associated with your account.
Technical data
Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure (Vercel) automatically logs technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and request timestamps for security, reliability, and abuse prevention.
Analytics data
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use Limen. This collects usage information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser details, and online identifiers, using cookies and similar technologies. See section 5 for details and how to opt out.
4. Why we process your data
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Performance of a contract — to create and operate your account, run scans, deliver reports, and process purchases.
- Legitimate interests — to keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and improve how Limen works.
- Consent — for analytics cookies and any other processing where we ask for it. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legal obligation — to retain certain records (for example, invoices) as required by law.
Under the Swiss FADP, we process personal data where it is necessary for the purposes described above and in accordance with the principles of that Act.
5. Cookies
We use two kinds of cookies:
- Strictly necessary cookies — set by our authentication provider (Supabase) to keep you signed in and secure your session. The service cannot work without these.
- Analytics cookies — set by Google Analytics to measure usage. These are not essential.
You can disable analytics by installing Google’s opt-out browser add-on, or by blocking or deleting cookies in your browser settings.
6. Who we share your data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers (processors) that make Limen work, each acting on our instructions:
| Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Vercel | Website and application hosting |
| Supabase | Authentication and database storage |
| Stripe | Payment processing |
| Anthropic | AI analysis — we send retrieved page text to Anthropic’s Claude models to generate your report |
| Google (Analytics) | Usage analytics |
We may also disclose personal data where required by law or to protect our legal rights.
7. International data transfers
Some of our providers are based in, or process data in, the United States or other countries outside Switzerland and the EEA. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards — such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and equivalent Swiss mechanisms — to protect it.
8. How long we keep your data
We keep your personal data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, we delete the associated data, except where we are legally required to retain certain records for longer (for example, invoices under applicable accounting and tax law). We retain data at least for the periods that the law requires.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to object to processing or withdraw consent.
You can permanently delete your account and its associated data at any time from within Limen. For any other request, contact us at privacy@limen.io.
If you are in the EEA, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. In Switzerland, you may contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
10. Data security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children
Limen is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
